SEE THE FEEDBACK FROM STUDENTS OF UNIVERSITY OF NIAGARA FALLS
Finally, all of us who have ever lived there leave with a bad experience of the place, not only the staff but also the infrastructure.
Seeing that I am being accused of something completely false, I will continue to mention characteristics of the hotel-residence. The manager is a dishonest and manipulative person. As we can see in his response, he accuses me of something that did not happen—and he probably doesn’t even remember it, because they don’t keep records.
When I asked for my rent receipt, it was completely informal and didn’t even include my name, because they have no records. They didn’t resolve the issue, they didn’t apologize, and I was never able to get a proper rent receipt. In fact, I believe they don’t issue any receipts at all.
On top of that, they take advantage of your trust by giving you an incomplete refund of your deposit. I had to go there twice before the “manager” finally gave me two checks—because the first check had the wrong amount on it. They never apologized for the waste of my time.
The manager doesn’t communicate via email because he knows that would leave written proof of his lies and contradictions. His solution is always to block your room key. I’ve had more than one issue with the manager, but “Felbin” isn’t the only one with terrible behavior at the residence—many of the front desk staff behave the same way. They never apologize, they lack empathy, and they might even laugh at you if you’re in an uncomfortable situation or on the verge of tears.
Lastly, it’s $8 just to wash and dry clothes once—that’s way too expensive.
The pool? It’s never available—it’s always “under maintenance.” (yes, 6 months)
And finally, the rent price is based on... your face. If they think you’re desperate for a room, they take advantage. Everyone in the hotel pays a different amount, even if they have the exact same amenities.
A deposit is required upon moving in, but when you move out, it can take up to a week to be refunded to your account.
The front desk staff is often unhelpful and, at times, even rude, which creates a very uncomfortable environment.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this place.
